The Monroe County Democratic Party elected the first person of color to lead the party, on Sunday; Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton filed for re-election, today; Five hundred eighty-five thousand food stamp beneficiaries will not receive food stamps, in Indiana next month, due to the ongoing federal government shutdown; An Indiana lawmaker who accused Attorney General Curtis Hill of groping her, has filed three sexual assault and molestation bills; Indiana’s Secretary of State, Auditor, and Treasurer took their oath of office today, all three positions are filled by Republican women.
