Students, faculty and staff at Indiana University have signed an open letter denouncing a social scientist Charles Murray, who is slated to speak on campus; A group of IU students marched through campus and into the provost office to demand more social justice education on campus, along with other demands; The Indiana Senate has approved a bill allowing government agencies to charge per hour for public records requests that take more than two hours to complete; The Bloomington City Council continued hearing from Monroe County residents about annexation; A request for a conditional use permit for a home-based massage business saw intense scrutiny at the Monroe County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting; IU plans on investing up to $500,000 to boost child care services.
