Construction began three weeks ago on a new trail in Bloomington. The trail, called the “B-Link,” connects Henderson and Walnut streets. It leads to what will become Switchyard Park, and is expected to be finished in November of this year. The total cost estimate is over $770,000. According to an article in The Herald Times, nearly $338,000 of the project funds will come from a grant given by the Indiana Department of Transportation. Plans for a marked pedestrian crossing on Henderson are already in place, but it is unclear where the crossing at Walnut Street will be. The trail will be about a third of a mile in length.
