In this episode of the Brown County Hour:

After 7 years, 52 episodes, a couple of major fundraisers, managing a burgeoning website and more all-night engineering sessions than he can count, the founding technical producer of the Brown County Hour on WFHB, Jeff Foster, is retiring his studio chair to Mr. Chuck Wills. In this episode:

  • JeffFoster-LogBG
Guitarist, composer, writer, webmaster and BCH producer emeritus, Jeff Foster

The entire crew gangs up on Foster in an extended interview, and we hear tunes from his CD, Midnight In Zagreb.

  • My Brown County returns with the first of two segments by Jeff Tryon on “The Artists” who put Brown County on the map as an artist colony.
  • Rachel Perry tells the story of how Scarce o’ Fat got its name.
  • Naturalist Jim Eaglemann tells us all about mushrooms.
  • Cari Ray‘s For A Song segment is dedicated to her buddy Jeff Foster.
  • Dave Seastrom‘s delivers a personal memoir of how he and Foster came to be friends on BCH.
  • Rick Fettig likens Foster’s fingernails to the mighty eagle… it’s ok, he uses them for playing guitar.

A tip of the hat to our underwriter, Plum Creek Antiques, located on the corner of State Roads 45 and 135 in Bean Blossom.
