Residents packed the Monroe County Courthouse square to listen and understand better the racial issues and injustices struggle with every day. Lia Robinson is the Black Lives Matter march organizer, and Amrita Myers is a history professor.

Residents packed the Monroe County Courthouse square to listen and understand better the racial issues and injustices struggle with every day. Lia Robinson is the Black Lives Matter march organizer, and Amrita Myers is a history professor. Bloomington Police Department has improved relations and continues to take steps on improvement. Mayor Hamilton said Black Lives Matter is another chapter in an ongoing story of American civil action. Nonetheless, as Amrita Myers states, African Americans are tired of seeing another black male shot; worrying about loved ones and partners not returning home.
