Lizzy Bartelt is our featured guest for this episode. Lizzy is a doctoral student at the IU School of Public Health. Her research includes LGBTQ+ populations with a focus on sexual and reproductive health and bisexuality. Before returning to graduate school Lizzy spent five years working at Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky teaching sexuality education and leading a bi/poly/pan support group at IYG. She also did a collaborative research/evaluation project with Prism. She is giving a TEDx Bloomington talk later this month on LGBTQ+ experiences with sexual and reproductive health.

LGBTQ seniors social @ Cheddars Restaurant, 126 S. Franklin Road

Bloomington Pride’s LGBT Aging & Caring Network holds their monthly social for LGBTQ seniors along with allies. They hold a happy hour and dinner social each month and all are welcome. They provide support, plan social activities, and creates educational opportunities for the aging LGBTQ population in Monroe County and surrounding communities within the Bloomington Pride organization. The happy hour and dinner meets the second Monday of every month at 5 PM at the Cheddars Restaurant, 126 S. Franklin Road (it’s off West 3rd next to the highway) in Bloomington, IN.
