So-called Right to Work Bills, HB 1 and SB 269 were both discussed today in Indianapolis. The House heard 55 amendments, all of which brought nominal change to the bill’s language. Pro-labor demonstrators could be heard outside house chambers cheering in support of Democrats pleading for amendments. Meanwhile the Senate heard a final hearing on it’s bill, which differs only slightly from the one in the house. As of broadcast deadline no vote had taken place on the Senate’s version of the bill.*** In today’s feature, correspondent Ryan Dawes takes us on-location to a labor rally that took place Friday night in downtown Bedford.
