Attack on Marriage Equality Gets One Year Break

An amendment to Indiana’s constitution on same-sex marriages was pushed back until the 2014 legislative session yesterday. The decision comes just one week after Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan performed a mass same-sex wedding ceremony as a sign of solidarity. After the general assembly made the announcement, WFHB correspondent Jennifer Whitaker spoke with Indiana Equality Action’s Executive Director Rick Sutton, President of the Interfaith Coalition on Non-Discrimination Marie Siroky, and PFLAG Coordinator for Indiana Annette Gross to find out their response and what happens now.
