For the past 48 years, the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra has been a musical home for local residents who want to keep their love of music alive, providing them performance opportunities and a real sense of community. And for the past 20 years, BSO has been the volunteer home for Donna Lafferty. She originally started as a volunteer member of the trombone section, but saw opportunities to take other roles over the years ranging from operations manager to executive director. Always as a volunteer. For Donna, the BSO is a place of inspiration, rejuvenation, and friendship. For the audiences, the BSO is a treasure of musical discovery, reflection, and community.
