A REMINDER ABOUT THE ANNUAL MEETING!!

Saturday June 7th
12:00 Noon
John Waldron Arts Center Auditorium

To all WFHB Participating members....
over the past few weeks you should have received: a letter giving you notice of the Annual Meeting of Bloomington Community Radio (aka WFHB) the nominating slate for the Board of Directors Bios of all Board Nominees... a reminder phone call and/or email about the meeting
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT YOU BE THERE IN PERSON?
Article: 5.6.1 Annual Meeting.
The Members shall meet annually for the following purposes: to elect Board Members, to receive reports from the Board and the Staff, to offer recommendations to the Board and the Staff, and to act upon any other business requiring the input or vote of the Participating Membership....
Article: 5.6.2 Quorum.
The attendance of twenty percent (20%) of Participating Members at a meeting shall constitute a quorum at that Meeting. The vote or recommendation of the majority (51%) of Participating Members (including valid absentee ballots) shall be the act or recommendation of the Members.
In other words... if you don't show up... nothing is achieved
WHY SHOULD YOU BE THERE IN PERSON?
In addition to the business of the corporation, joining us on Saturday will give you a chance to meet our new General Manager, to learn more about the candidates before voting and to socialize with other volunteers. There will be food, entertainment, awards from the music and news departments... and a raffle for three $25 gift certificates to local businesses that can only be won by folks attending the meeting in person....
AND IF YOU JUST CAN'T BE THERE IN PERSON... REMEMBER TO DROP YOUR BALLOTS IN NATE JOHNSON'S
MAIL FOLDER AT THE FIREHOUSE PRIOR TO NOON ON SATURDAY....
