Firehouse Sessions – Amanda Shires

In the studio today for a new Firehouse Session is Amanda Shires. Amanda Shires is in town for her show as opener for Richard Thompson at the Buskirk Chumley Theatre whilst touring her new album “Down Fell the Doves” Besides making music as a solo artist, Shires also tours with husband Jason Isbell.

When Amanda Shires goes on tour, she meets a lot of interesting people. Once after a show in Tampa, Florida, a fellow calling himself Tiger Bill handed her a mysterious bag — whose contents, he said, would make her “bulletproof.”
