July 2009
Here’s some of what is coming up in July: a conversation about the anti-lesbian/gay discrimination that occurred (still occurs?) in sports at Penn State when independent film maker Dee Mossbacher chats with us about her coverage of Coach Rene Portland; we will have more political insights from Indiana Equality with Brandon Monson; new editions of L WordS, Critical InQueery, The Soul of Us, It’s Only Sex and Poly Perspective. Shannon Garcia from TransYouthAllies will be back with updates and Tyona Wesley, co-organizer of Rainbow Festival in Gary, will return this time to talk about her newly published book “Just Some Words: In my Mind;” and speaking of authors, activist and writer Staceyann Chin will join us to talk about her book “The Other Side of Paradise.” We’ll also hear from basketball player Lea Robinson and Indy resident activist/writer Pepper Partin. (Given to long range planning listeners can still look forward to a discussion with Mary Frances Duffy from the World Gay Games in the near future).
In addition to all of our unique guests listeners can always anticipate new editions of our regular segments and correspondents’ reports on issues of polyamory, transgenderism, women and politics, men and health, youth resources and just so much more. Our programming is both entertaining and informative and we have fun bringing the latest in news and events to our listeners. We hope you will tune in and become one of our regular listeners. Oh, and we’re on facebook too so become one of our bff’s!
